Planning Process and Timeline
Public participation from the Corridor’s 234 villages, towns and cities, nine Native American tribes, state and federal agencies, and non-profit organizations was key to developing a comprehensive plan. The plan builds upon previous planning efforts within the 4,934-square mile Corridor, while also bringing new clarity, vision, and energy to existing planning and implementation infrastructure.
The Preservation and Management Plan was officially adopted in 2006.
