get involved: Partner Program
Twenty-five canal-related museums and cultural heritage sites within the Corridor were selected to join the Erie Canalway Partner Program in 2010. The program is intended to advance the goals of the Erie Canalway Preservation and Management Plan by facilitating coordinated and sustained collaboration between the commission and staff and canal-related sites.

The Commission secured a $230,000 federal grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services to help fund the program, which designates partners into one of three categories based on their facilities, hours of operation, and significance as a canal site.
